MG's recently launched Windsor recorded a total of 15,176 bookings within 24 hours, on October 3, the day bookings officially commenced. This is the highest number of bookings received in a single day by a new EV in the country.

Pricing for the MG Windsor starts at Rs 13.5 lakh for the entry-level Excite variant, going up to Rs 15.5 lakh for the Essence variant. MG also offers a unique 'Battery as a Service' (BaaS) scheme, wherein the cost of the battery is not included in the car's price. The Windsor comes with a 38kWh battery pack offering a claimed range of 331km on a single charge. It is powered by a front axle-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that produces 136hp and 200Nm. The features on offer include a massive 15.6-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a panoramic glass roof, 18-inch alloy wheels, full-LED lighting, 135-degree reclining rear seat, a 360-degree camera, ambient lighting, powered driver's seat, ventilated front seats, and more.
